I’ve been a bad mommy for not posting them. Seeing as Riley’s birthday party was more than 4 months ago! Well better late than never.
Enjoy!
I will be posting the pictures from Julian’s Party on the next post.

In getting into the spirit of fall, the boys and I decided to visit a pumpkin patch!
I have always wanted to take them to one, but never had an opportunity to do so until now. For as long as I can remember there has always been a Pumpkin Patch at St. Lukes Methodist Church on Westheimer. This past Sunday afternoon I decided to pack the kiddos up and make the trek “inside the loop” to find us some pumpkins!
Riley was so excited that when he jumped out the car he almost face planted right on the asphalt! All I hear is, “Aw, Man! I fell.”
Crazy kid.
We got to the pumpkins and of course Riley was like all epileptic and running around trying to find “the coolest one” and I had put Julian down next to one and he just stood there confused. Basically what I had imagined. Like the good mother that I like to think I am I took pictures, lots of them.
I had Riley pick out two small pumpkins and two mini ones. The price for their BIG ONES were just threw the roof. (sorry I just can’t picture spending $18.00 on a pumpkin that I can buy at HEB for $6.00) You would think Riley would be upset about not getting the GIANT pumpkin, but the child that he is he was just excited to be able to use a wagon. Score!
Here are some of the pictures from the pumpkin patch.
(Just an F.Y.I. I do like to dress my kids alike, I can’t help it.)

Yesterday was Riley’s birthday and he turned 5!
Can you believe that? I can’t, I am still in shock about where the time has gone! It seemed like only yesterday he was cutting teeth and drooling all over the place. Now he’s all grown up and becoming “a big boy man” as he likes to call himself.
I must say I do talk about my kids quite a bit, but what’s a girl to do when they give so much material to talk about?!?
Riley, Julian and I still had fun even it rained ALL DAY. We have a few pictures to post about his very special day, but it’s late and I am exhausted!
More in the coming entries.

This is Riley-Hayden and he is a 4 year old that will forever keep you guessing.
What am I to do when the child asks, “Mommy can we do activities?”
It must be the pre-school talking.
In my response follows as, “Sure we can do activities. What type would you like to do?”
Riley responds with, “Um, well you know writing, science stuff, experiments, coloring, painting, gluing, and plants outside.”
Wow. My bad.
Earlier this week we broke out the acrylics and go all out. This is what Riley made. Impressive no?
