In all of my infinite wisdom (as well as my obgyn office) I am going to take at 3:30 pm appointment today to have the wonderful b.c. put in.
Now I know that sounds a bit crazy, but I have been waiting on this for over TWO months now and it must be put in during a cycle, and the lovely person that said that they were going to contact me about it never did. So I called yesterday and got a little bit irritated and FINALLY got in for today….
Blah, Blah, Blah…
SO off I go to pick Riley up from school early, cause the office is in Katy and Riley’s school lets out at 3:15 AND the appointment is at 3:30.
(you see the issue here? ok.)
Let’s hope I get through taking BOTH of my sons with me to the obgyn without issue, tantrums or questions like “mommy why is your leg on that thing??”
Wish me luck.

I thought that I was being THRIFTY a few months back when I scored a mop bucket for less then $5.00 at the local Walmart by our house. But apparently my determination for finding a bargan back fired on me.
Just about 15 minutes ago I figured out why.
See photo below.

poor bucket, it had a good life.
Granted the floor is REALLY CLEAN now (and so is the floor underneath the refrigerator, dishwasher AND wine cooler) and I have nothing to complain about except that my pants and legs and feet now has that awesome Murphy’s Oil Soap smell.
From now on I am using that trusty 5 gallon paint bucket that they sell at The Home Depot. At least I know that I’d hurt myself carrying the darn thing before it breaks on me.

The title above is the God’s honest truth. I do have good intentions when it comes to keeping this thing updated, but some reason or another I get distracted. But all I can say is that I will try to do better. I’m slowly working on revamping some stuff on here, one step at a time. The next post will surely be about what we have been up to for the past few months!

As per request of some extremely important individuals, I am posting my “wish list” of sorts for my birthday. Though I am completely flattered by anyone wanting to get me anything for my birthday day. I always jokingly say, either bring beer or ice cream and I’m usually good with that. However this year I have worked on a little something in regards to a list.
Now for all intensive purposes this is an extremely crazy list that I was going back and forth to writing from the past few days. So please don’t blame me for some of the items that I put on there. Even some sounding beer induced. Really I know that wanting a pony is a little much…
So here goes nothing…
Wish List: <they are in no particular order.>
- Obey: Supply & Demand The Art of Shepard Fairey Book
- Hello Kitty paraphernalia of any form.
- A farmers almanac
- Gore Vidal Biography
- Pre WWII advertisements in print
- a straw fedora
- Zune points
- scarves in any type/ color
- a record player
- old school board games
- a pinata full of candy from the elem. school era (smarties, razzles, big league chew, etc.)
- coconut flavored beauty products
- anything from LUSH STORE
- a book about ERTE
- ART DECO ANYTHING
- Tickets to go see RENT in April
- offensive refrigerator magnets
- Elvis Costello cd’s (any will do)
- a learn “how to knit” kit from the craft store
- A CASE OF KONA BREWING CO. WAILUA WHEAT BEER.
- Darius Rucker tickets for the rodeo
- old film camera (those reissues from urban outfitters will work.)
- BUDDHA figurines in any size, shape, color.
- anything that SCREAMS HIPPIE.
- Jason Mraz’s book of photographs
Yes I do realize that the list is a bit long and EXTREMLEY random, however if you know me that’s just how I roll. Yo.
To those who will be partaking in the party festivities, I will see you this Saturday! For those that will not be able to make it, I am sorry that you will miss the hullabaloo and you will be missed.

I’m listening to the movie in the background and oops they just killed kenny, YOU BASTARDS!
Lyall is enjoying some much needed R & R buy vegging out on the couch and eating the BBQ flavored potato chips that he said he didn’t like. go figure.
I on the other hand am trying to sort through the pictures that I have loaded on Picasa and it’s a little scary. I am trying to post them on FLICKR and it’s a bit overwhelming of a task. I have been trying to upload all of my 365 self portraits and I didn’t realized that I have been behind on the uploading in such a LONG TIME. Oh I am SERIOUS. My what seemed like a fool proof system is failing me right now. I guess instead of load 15 pictures up at a time, I have to do 5 instead.
Grksodkjjkosokelsla’sdf!!!!!!!
That is my fault for procrastinating about loading them up there. I will get it done at some point. I can’t figure out wheter or not a missed a day, (more GRRRR!) I am going to get some rest. I am just like the tea, it’s SLEEPY TIME!

So an old friend of mine from high school and his beautiful wifey are expecting a little boy in August. Which coincidentally is named August
and they have this wonderful blog called The Adventures of Baby Skittle.
It is in my opinion an very inventive way of cataloging ones pregnancy and childbirth and the other lovely day to day happenings. Lately she has been having a bit of anxiety with trying to grasp the reality of their impending parenthood that I chose to “cheer her up” so to speak. I think that it is a duty of mine to convince first time mothers that it is “really not that bad” and heck it could actually be fun bringing a child into this world. I am not by all means an expert when it comes to having children. I think that the duggar woman has me beat by a long shot, but at least I offer a non-judgemental even entertaining approach to explaining pregnancy & childbirth to other mommy’s out there.
Let’s face it: being pregnant is hard enough, why on earth would you listen to someone telling you that you are doing it wrong? (my thoughts exactly.)
Alright I am off my soap box now, really.
I am here to give a wonderful soon to mommy a good chuckle that will hopefully give her a better outlook on things!
Last summer while I was very, very pregnant with “baby in the belly” or now we call him Julian I had made a deal with Lyall that if “the buzz” was having their annual contest I was going to join. What contest you ask? Oh it was “the 3rd annual rod ryan pregnant bikini contest.” Yes that is exactly what it was- about two dozen pregnant girls competing in silly games and a bikini contest for about 3,000 worth of prizes. Sounds to offensive to most but actually it was thought up by the morning show after Britney Spears posed for the cover of Harpers Bazzar a la Demi Moore with her first child.
Think of your opinions about it, and keep it to yourself. I did it for me and no one else. It was quite tedious and I spent alot of time primping for this contest. The contest was divided into three parts. The speed diaper change, diaper toss and the bikini contest. Over all I did pretty well, though I didn’t win I had fun which was kind of the whole point in joining the silly thing to begin with. That and to have a really fun story to tell Julian when he’s older.
Here are a few pictures of from the contest and you can see the rest of them on the link above.
Sarah, I hope this makes being prego much more entertaining for you!

That pretty much sums it up.
It has been quite busy around here and I sometimes don’t know my rear from a hole in the ground.
eh? It’s like that.
I was talking to my yoga instructor, Kate and we were always saying that we are tired ALL THE TIME. We did come to a conclusion that we have been both tired since our first children were born. (haha!) But that’s how it goes, you have kids you automatically become scatterbrained and just completely nutty. But you can choose to be annoyed by it or just go with it. I personally just go with it. It makes things funnier that way. You could go on and on about what you can and can’t do but that doesn’t get you anywhere. I have a really good way of dealing with the hard days. Here is a list, compiled not in any particular order.
- lots of coffee & tea
- chocolate bar’s “chocolotta” (iced hot cocco)
- my zune & it’s contents
- french fries from chick-fil-a
- lyall calling me to just to say “hi”
- funny emails
- my sweet camera
- ellie the wonder dog
- actually seeing a music video.
This list could go on for ages but you get the jist of things. Well off to the Tuesday/ Thursday ritual of “yoga in the hood.”
