Baby Steps Playgroup!

April 8, 2009 · 2 Comments

A few weeks back Julian and I met up with our play group Baby Steps for some good old fashion fun at Herman Park. Though Julian and I didn’t have the time to ride the train we did spend some time at the swings. I swear that I had more photos of Courtney’s daughter, Helena & Jennifer’s son Cameron.

Nevertheless here there are. Enjoy!

Noodle House Dinner

December 15, 2008 · Leave a Comment

This past Friday the kids and I went out to dinner with our neighbors from accross the street, Bill and Amy. We went to Noodle House 88 on Bellaire in Chinatown. The owner of the restaurant used to work with Bill at Big Red. They were “test subjects” so to speak when it came to the menu of the place. The food was amazing as always and here are some pictures of proof that you can take two kids under the age of 6 to a restaurant by yourself and survive.

Cheers Everybody!

Yes that is a coconut that I am drinking out of and no, there is no alcohol in it!)

Snow, the Houston version.

December 10, 2008 · Leave a Comment

This afternoon after Julian & I picked Riley up from school we were off to our normal ritual of “pick up food for dinner” run to the grocery store.

So we get to the local Whole Foods for some shopping fun when I had noticed that it was not raindrops that were now beating the hell of my windshield. No, it was yes in fact snowflakes.

SNOWFLAKES!!!!

I got Riley out of the car and the first thing this child does is opens his mouth to eat it. (of course.) This was very surreal for me, not to mention my kids. Granted it’s not gold enough to stick to the ground but never the less it is “snow” for all intensive purposes.

I am still a bit shocked at the weather today. Tomorrow it’s supposed to be beautiful sunny and 60! I have a few pictures that I will post either on here or on flickr.

So stay tuned.

Happy Halloween!!

October 31, 2008 · Leave a Comment

Hello my to all my wonderful friends and family on this Friday, October 31st!

I am truly excited about this evening being Halloween and all, we are playing dress up! I can not wait to take their pictures and post them up on here about our little adventure!! As far as I know we are just gonna stay in the neighborhood and peddle for candy. Unless Lyall and I have the gusto to take the kids to “Boo on the Green” at Discovery Green Park in downtown. Although we totally forgot about it until about 10 minutes ago. Rats!! But whatever we decide to do, I am sure we will have a blast!

I hope all of you have a very safe and wonderful Halloween! Can’t wait to hear all your stories!

Pumpkin Patch!

October 7, 2008 · Leave a Comment

In getting into the spirit of fall, the boys and I decided to visit a pumpkin patch!

I have always wanted to take them to one, but never had an opportunity to do so until now. For as long as I can remember there has always been a Pumpkin Patch at St. Lukes Methodist Church on Westheimer. This past Sunday afternoon I decided to pack the kiddos up and make the trek “inside the loop” to find us some pumpkins!

Riley was so excited that when he jumped out the car he almost face planted right on the asphalt! All I hear is, “Aw, Man! I fell.”

Crazy kid.

We got to the pumpkins and of course Riley was like all epileptic and running around trying to find “the coolest one” and I had put Julian down next to one and he just stood there confused. Basically what I had imagined. Like the good mother that I like to think I am I took pictures, lots of them.

I had Riley pick out two small pumpkins and two mini ones. The price for their BIG ONES were just threw the roof. (sorry I just can’t picture spending $18.00 on a pumpkin that I can buy at HEB for $6.00) You would think Riley would be upset about not getting the GIANT pumpkin, but the child that he is he was just excited to be able to use a wagon. Score!

Here are some of the pictures from the pumpkin patch.

(Just an F.Y.I. I do like to dress my kids alike, I can’t help it.)
