The title above is the God’s honest truth. I do have good intentions when it comes to keeping this thing updated, but some reason or another I get distracted. But all I can say is that I will try to do better. I’m slowly working on revamping some stuff on here, one step at a time. The next post will surely be about what we have been up to for the past few months!

Hey February, It’s good to see you!
February 1, 2009 · Leave a Comment
Yes I realized that my post have been really lame, sucky, lack-luster and what ever kind of sub-par adjective that you can think of. I apologize, we’ve been kind of busy around here.
January was a very eventful month, full of exciting things that I will put in list form for sake of any thing better.
-New Years Eve was filled with good food, good friends and a champagne bottle that got a saber taken to it. It was quite a sight to see.
- Riley was sick for a good week and a half of the month and so was I. AWFUL STUFF.
- My purse was stolen right in front off me in front of the Big Lots parking lot right by my house.
-Julian turned 15 months on 01/11/2009! And he is getting bigger DAILY.
-I paid my first speeding ticket, for my traffic infraction back in October of last year.
-Someone opened the flood gates with Riley and he has not stopped talking since school started back up.
-My regular Tues/Thurs “Mom & Me” Yoga class got reduced to just Tuesday with a new instructor. Mildy disturb by it, but I actually enjoy the new teacher. She is going to a good replacement to Kate whom I’ve been taking classes from her since June of last year.
-Took my first dance class since high school on 01/31/09 at The Met. It was a hip-hop class that was open to everybody. I honestly can’t figure out why I stopped dancing. It’s honestly one of the best times that I’ve had in a long, loong time.
-Julian also sprouted 4 new chompers this month and is in full on walking mode. It’s freaking insane.
-Grampa Roger, Lyall’s dad came down for a visit even though myself & Riley were sick as dogs. Good timing huh?
January was quite eventful to say the least. I probably forgetting some things and if I do remember I will gladly add them to the post.
Happy reading and I will be back with my Birthday Wish List. Seeing as my birthday is in 14 days and all.

home sweet home.

So I should have written this earlier today but I got side-tracked, as always so that is why it is about near midnight. ugh.
Lyall, myself and the kids got back into town yesterday about 9:30 in the evening after our drive back from Arkansas. The trip was all in all a good one. 10 hours is nothing compared to the Houston to Colorado trip that we took a few ago. Arkansas is beautiful, especially Northwest part of it. Lyall’s dad and step-mom live on about 40 acres of land just outside of Betonville (Wally-World HQ) in a small town of Beaver. Yes that is the name of the town, population 50. (give or take a few)
I absolutely love scenery out there, just very lush and very green. Flora & fauna EVERYWHERE. Lyall’s parents house is situated right on the White River in the Ozarks and it was just a wonderful change from our daily lives. The kids loved it there. I have plenty of pictures to share with all of you of our weekend at the grandparents and I will post them just as soon as I get them loaded up.

Ok, I know that was really corny but I had to do it.
Just wanted to let everybody know that Lyall, myself and the kids (dog included) will be on our way to Eureka Springs, Arkansas in about 8 or so hours. That is the goal at least, however Lyall is at a “work related” happy hour that surely will last until last call. That is usually the case when his not home by 10pm. It’s the price you pay for convincing clients when they about 5 rounds in.
The trip is was a bit spur of the moment. Not much planning around it. Lyall’s dad and step-mom live in a small town in Northwest Arkansas. They have a good size of land out there and it’s alot of fun to go to. I am just really excited to be able to take the kids this year. The last time I was up there it must have been around my six month with Julian.
I am planning on catching up on tons of my updates while I am there. It’s just real tranquil there. I am planning on writing then post them up on here when we get back on Monday. So really Tuesday I should have a few more postings than normal. I usually have tons of funny things to talk about it just the lack of motivation to put them up is the issue.
With that understood I should have all of my trip from Colorado, Riley’s birthday, first day of school and all of that wonderful goodness on here soon. Girl Scouts Honor. As well as the trip this weekend.
I might actually have some time to go throw some dirt up in the Jeep. (YAY!)
Lyall had told me that his dad and mom are totally excited about the kiddos and are willing to give us some much needed time sans’ children. His sister and brother-in-law are coming up too!
This should be intresting.

10 months already?
August 12, 2008 · Leave a Comment
Yesterday marked 10 months for our little man, Julian!!!
He not even close to being little anymore!
We went to the doctor on 7/25/08 and he was measured at an astonishing 29 inches! Two weeks before then, Lyall and I were wondering how long he really was so we put him up against the good ole’ tape measure and he was at 27 inches! I mean really at the rate this kid is growing he’ll be taller than me by the time he’s 8! (Not that it’s saying much for me, I’m 5′1.) But it’s really freaking me out. The whole time on our road trip in Colorado people at restaurants kept asking me if we needed a kids menu. Though his weight is at about 18.5 lbs which is a bit small for his length and age we are convinced that he’s going to be just like Lyall. Tall & skinny.
Poor kid. Ever tried looking for a pair of 28/34’s at The Gap? Apparently that is the size the Lyall was at when he entered the Air Force.
Anyway, our super awesome doctor said that he is doing EXTREMELY well. Motor skills are all lined up and has stated that he should be getting around to doing things on his own a bit earlier because he follows Riley around everywhere. Which is somewhat of a slight threat to me, because he’s already a handful and he can’t even walk yet!!!
I will post more about the progress of Julian & the quest for walking in the next few entires. It should be fun!

Just a quick note.
Lyall, myself and Julian got back from our Colorado road trip this past Sunday and we are still pretty wiped from it!
Riley also got backfrom his trip to see his biological father’s family in New England & Missouri. My brother Joe & I along with Julian picked him up from the airport yesterday and he was so excited!
I have been working on getting the fun little stories of our adventures, as well as the pictures to back it up!
850 something pictures are quite tasking to edit, not to mention having the patience to type all of what we did for the past 10 days!
Oh, Julian had a his 9 month check up on the day we left on our road trip. Heeh. I need to make a entry about that to.
IT NEVER SEEMS TO HAVE AN END, DOES IT?

9 months!
July 11, 2008 · Leave a Comment
Today counts the 9 month for the existence of our awesome little man Julian.
I honestly don’t know where the time has gone. The milestones that this child has reached in the past 3 months is astonishing to say the least! From the standing up, crawling after the dog, eating everything in sight, laughing and no teeth! I swear by the Christmas rolls around he’s going to be saying more than the occassional “mamma” “dadda” “ooog” (dog) “umm” (yum). He might be running around too!
The house is getting louder by the day and Riley is not even here. I can not even begin to think what it’s going to be like when they become teenagers. Oh my Buddha. I may just loose my mind by that point!
Nevertheless I am very excited that this time in Julian’s life has come and can not wait to see what he does next! He’s napping right now and I’m sure I will be in for yet another funny reaction from this wonderful little boy.
Here is the side by side of Julian on the day that he was born and today. Crazy right?

this time last year…
June 26, 2008 · 3 Comments
… I was 23 weeks pregnant. I can not believe how time has flown by so quickly. Julian is almost 9 months!!! It didn’t seem that long ago that he was this little bitty thing that barely made a sound and now he makes his presence known to all. That actually does not surprise me, I knew that day was going to come. But sometimes I miss my little squishy baby that didn’t squirm when he nursed and that didn’t make my arm hurt after carrying him around for more than 15 minutes. I could sit here and go on and on about how it was much easier a few months back, but it would make me look a little wussy.
I am actually excited at the stage that he is in right now. Julian can pull himself up to standing without any form of hesitation and has been for about a month now. It’s just amazing how strong he has gotten. Lyall and I got him one of those exer-saucers from the baby store a few weeks back and he has spent almost everyday in there making all sorts of noise. It’s pretty awesome to see how he reacts to everything around him and just the personality that he is developing. I can’t wait to see what he does next!
(Here is a little before after from this time last year and now. Enjoy!
